after breakfast, we made our way to Shatin - New Town Plaza. that's where i insisted on going to Snoopy World since i'm a fan of it. haha.. however, we found out that it was only a playground, unlike the one in Japan ;p of coz, we had some fun there too!
that's where munteng saw the younger version of herself! haha.. cute little girl ;)
later on, we went to our anticipated venue, Shatin Racecourse! yea, we were eager to gamble ;p just kidding! haha.. we were there to get the feel of horse-racing~
u can see many old folks there engrossed in their newspapers coz they were busy studying on the best bets to place. they place their bets through the counters or machines... and before every race starts, the horses n jockeys will parade for the audience.
and the race begins! pretty exciting, and maybe even more heart-thumping if we did place some bets ><
we had kfc for lunch.. they have chicken with mushroom sauce & rice over there. not bad but the rice was...... (given i'm seldom fussy with food, the rice was still *speechless*)
next, we headed to Wong Tai Sin Temple, the biggest n famous temple in hk? we decided to read our luck n had our lots drawn (we shaked it out of a bamboo can - i donno what u call that ;p)munteng had a good lot.. so her HOPE is this year! haha.. good for u, girl! unlike poor me ><
while sk's always saying he's the messenger from god.. bluek! let's see how true it is~
time for the Golden Bauhinia Square, around Wan Chai Harbour. It's a golden blooming bauhinia flower to commemorate the return of HK to the PRC in 1997.and of coz, we did not give Johnston's outlets a miss since we were in Wan Chai. kinda disappointing thou~
late at nite, we went to Lan Kwai Fong where it was famous for its nite happenings. nthg much for us since we didnt have much to spare :/
